Tamara Raad, MSc

Tamara Raad is a PhD student in the Gan Lab, where she is excited to explore the therapeutic potential of stem cell technologies for neurodegenerative disease. Her research background spans multiple disease models, including Drosophila, transgenic mouse, and iPSC-derived neurons, to study questions related to sleep, cerebellar development, and Alzheimer’s disease. Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, Tamara earned a BA in Neurobiology from Northwestern University and an MSc in Clinical & Therapeutic Neuroscience from the University of Oxford. Outside of the lab, she enjoys music, traveling, and learning new languages.
