Jewoo Seo, PhD
Jewoo is from Seoul, South Korea, where he completed his Ph.D. in medical science at Seoul National University College of Medicine under the mentorship of Dr. Sang Jeong Kim. Prior to his doctoral studies, he earned his B.S. from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
Throughout his academic career, Jewoo has focused on neurophysiology and neural circuit of the cerebellum, utilizing in vivo and in vitro electrophysiology, optogenetics, and behavioral assays to explore the mechanisms governing motor learning and memory. In the Gan Lab, he aims to leverage his expertise in electrophysiology to elucidate the pathogenic mechanisms of neurodegenerative disorders.
Hobbies: Running outside, working out, and exploring the city.
