Taylor Corridon
Taylor Corridon graduated from James Madison University in 2021 with a B.S. in Biology, a concentration in Neuroscience, and minor in Pre-Professional Health Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in the biochemistry department studying mutations in the heme binding region of cytochromes to tune their bandgap potentials. After graduation, she worked as a Research Associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard in the Vallabh/Minikel lab for over 3 years studying prion biology and developing divalent siRNAs, antisense oligonucleotides, and small molecule therapeutics for prion disease.
In the Gan lab, Taylor is excited to continue studying neurodegenerative disease, focusing on neuroimmune signaling pathways in Alzheimer’s disease and tauopathy models with the goal of illuminating the molecular mechanisms that underpin hallmark pathologies of disease and developing therapeutic modalities
Research Interests: Neurodegenerative diseases, AD, tauopathy models
Hobbies: Writing fiction, traveling, running in Central Park, trying new restaurants around the city, cooking, and spending time with friends.
